AW: my valentine's day gift! kindle!

DH and I celebrated valentine's day early this year, on our four month anniversary for two reasons...One, it was our four month anniversary, and two he works on valentine's day. Well we had a wonderful home cooked meal and we exchanged little gifts...we had agreed on a card and maybe something small. So I gave him his card and candy, he gave me my balloon and card...I had wanted a balloon for some reason lol.

Anyway apparently that wasn't all. I am now the proud owner of a kindle! I was so excited...still am of course! I've been talking about wanting an e-reader for months and now I have one. I feel kind of bad because he went over our little gift limit and I didn't, but nothing I can do now I guess. It was really sweet of him though.

So I thought I'd share. Anyone else celebrate yet if you are?

Also...kindle users...any good book suggestions? I'm open to anything!  :)

Re: AW: my valentine's day gift! kindle!

  • Not a kindle owner but I have been reading some pretty good books lately.

I would recommend The Help (so good!!), Sarahs Key, Room, Firefly Lane (chick lit-ish but good), Lady Elizabeth by Allison Weir ( a good read if you like historical fiction).

     And what a great hubby!

  • That's awesome! I love my kindle. The battery life on them lasts for what seems like forever. What an awesome gift to get.

Sarah's Key was a good book, Water For Elephants, The Last Queen (if your're into historical fiction).

I usually pop on over to the Nest Book Club, the people over there are always posting up good recommendations.
