Help me build a Green gift basket for a baby shower

So far I looked into Country Save laundry detergent (she is going to try cloth diapers).  But any other suggestions or tips would be greatly apprec.

Thank you!!!

Re: Help me build a Green gift basket for a baby shower

  • I hear Rockin' Green is one of the best for CD. Maybe a diaper wet bag, eco friendly baby wash, lotion, diaper rash cream, etc.(I hear california baby is great.) Some Dr. Bronners if she is in to making her own cleaners. I have seen eco friendly, pacifiers at babiesrus. I can't remember why they are eco, but you could google it. You could throw in some nice outfits from a kids resale shop. Organic sheets, swaddling blankets, etc.

    Just a few thoughts.

  • If she's doing cloth, cloth-safe diaper cream (CJ's BUTTer gets fabulous reviews and they have a cool sample pack), a 2-pack of snappies, maybe some prefolds (usually around a dollar each) and a cute cover (thirsties duos or bummis), cloth wipes, solution for cloth wipes.

Other stuff: if planning breastfeeding, medela lanonlin cream, washable breast pads, boobie tubes.

Thow in some stuff for mom: organic chocolate, tea or coffee, lip balm, trail mix.

  • Earth Mama Angel Baby makes great products.  You can buy gift sets too.  My mom bought me a few of the gift sets and I loved them all.  The boxes are put together really nice, so all you would need to do is wrap it up.

If you want something to go with the cloth diapers, I would get a wet bag or cloth wipes or cloth wipe solution.

  • I use swaddling  blankets to wrap baby gifts, and then tie it with fabric ribbon. Depending on how much you want to spend... a cloth diaper or two, some Rockin Green or Allen's Naturally detergent, some CD friendly diaper rash cream, a nursing tank if you know mom's size, nipple cream (although frankly I didn't use it), tea and a pretty mug, organic cotton onesies, organic cotton prefolds to use as either diapers or burp cloths, a mild baby wash like California Baby unscented, stuff like that. :)
