Personal Question

Of course you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. I know some people are more personal than others on certain matters.

I am curious to know how many of you have (had) ovarian cysts and/or fibrocystic breasts?

I am currently learning that my body is cysty (is that even a word?!) I am wondering, if you get these, what do you do to help ease any pain/discomfort.

TIA for sharing.

Re: Personal Question

  • I have an ovarian cyst, discovered during my pregnancy. ?I haven't, thankfully, experience any pain from it. *knock on wood*

I do have a good friend that has had TONS of cysts on both her breasts and her ovaries. ?Nothing has worked for her except repeated surgeries. ?She's def. an extreme case though; poor thing.

I hope yours don't cause you too much pain and go away!?

  • Ibuprofen usually works pretty well.
  • i've been getting ovarian cycsts lately- but most of them seem to be "taking care of themselves" ie: diminishing in size or bursting.

basically Aleve works for me. i don't have much pain from them.

  • I have fibroadinomas in my breasts....they've never been painful for me though...sorry you're in pain/have discomfort from this...
  • Fortunately, I have never had to deal with anything like this before.   I hope they don't cause too much pain for you = )
  • I had a ovarian cyst from endometriosis which didn't really cause me any problems, but they removed when we weregoing through infertility treatments.  Wish I had some good tips for dealing with the pain.
  • I have a couple ovarian cysts but they have not bothered me in years. The only time I can feel them is when I'm overly stressed and they get bigger.
  • Thanks ladies! It is nice to know that other women have cysts.  I never really heard much about them before I started to experience them myself and I am now aware of how common they are. It is comforting to know you're not the only one.  I hope they just go away on their own. I have started to limit my caffiene intake, my aunt told me that helps her.
