I think our board could use something good right now so I wanted to post this. It's a clip from the Atlanta morning radio show that I still listen to....it's so sweet.

Happy Valentine's Day ladies. Hope you have a fantastic first V-day as husband and wife!
Re: Happy Valentine's Day
Aww, that is so sweet! I'm glad there are some happy moments out there today.
Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Lauren!
Happy Valentine's Day!
I called my brother's house yesterday, and talked to my 10 year old niece. She was as adorable as she always is, and asked what we were doing today. I said "going to work." She said "what about after work?" I said "probably moving furniture and painting, before having dinner and before your uncle leaves for his work trip." She said "oh- but it's Valentine's Day!" She sounded so disappointed! I had sort of forgotten about Valentine's Day- just because I was probably in the midst of wanting to curse the previous owners of our house for not filling in holes in the wall and for painting over peeling ceiling paint.
I think I crushed her hopes for a romantic married Valentine's Day. I told her we had a nice dinner last night- and he baked cookies for me, but she just said "oh". Maybe he'll surprise me with flowers... then I could at least tell her something exciting!

That's so cute about your niece. It seems like everyone expects the first "married" anything to be extra special. Everyone at work kept asking me in that singsongy way today. My DH and have nothing planned for tonight. Well I'm making dinner, but he's on this wierd diet this month so it's just herbed chicken and rice - nothing special or fancy. I do have a few things for him, but he's not getting home 'til late, and I think he'll probably just crash in his recliner. I'm not really expecting anything. He did say Happy Valentine's Day and I love you without prompting this morning so that's something!
