Anyone have plans today?

DH and I sorta celebrated all weekend. Tonight I think we're just going to have a normal Monday (laundry, TV, and a simple dinner).

I am a big holiday dork and I'll totally be rocking red and pink (and purple - my purse is purple) outfit today

Happy Valentine's Day! DH worked all weekend and works this evening, so nothing really going on. Plus, it's hella ridiculous to go out on V Day in Austin. So we're planning a date for next weekend (he's finally taking a weekend off for me!). But I am going to make dinner tonight (nothing fancy, just something off of $10 Dinners) and hopefully I'll get to make Hawki's strawberry margarita cupcakes once I get home from the gym.

DH has to work tonight so nothing special planned.  He gave me my gift yesterday though.  Amelia picked it out by playing with it more than any other one.

We're not doing anything too much. He got me a card and I'm making him steak tonight plus a chocolate cake for dessert. We had a romantic Arby's lunch and day of grocery shopping.

We're having surf & turf for dinner - steaks and lobster tails, baked sweet potatoes and asparagus. Chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. All the ingredients for dinner and dessert cost me less than $35, including the bottle of wine so it was definitely more economical to stay in tonight. It's an added bonus that we don't have to fight the crowds. After dinner I get to hit the books and study for an exam on Wednesday. Neoplasms are so romantic.

Happy Valentine's Day Ladies!

DH took the day off work and today was A's last gym & swim of the session, so we went to that and then out for brunch. When A gets up from his nap, we'll run to Target and then my mom's for dinner. I was in charge of dessert, we went to a cupcake bakery because I've been craving cupcakes. I got an Almond Joy (mom), Boston Cream Pie (me) and Strawberry (DH). 

DH surprised me with a camcorder, we weren't supposed to do gifts, so now my buying cupcakes seems lame.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

It's been a hectic morning trying to get my grant submitted, but it's off my plate now and in the hands of the grants administrator to send this afternoon! Yay!

DH is sick (again), so he took a sick day today. Despite that, he brought Wendy's, a dozen roses, and chocolate-covered strawberries to my office and we sat and ate together. It was really nice. All I did was give him a card this morning.

Happy Valentine's Day! DH and I went out to an early dinner. I conned him into giving me my gift Saturday night. I got gorgeous pearls. They are a little short so we are taking them to get a few pearls added next weekend.
