Would you and DH consider moving to Chicago? I'm not sure how flexible his job is. The legal market here is picking up, and a number of firms are hiring. I'm happy to put you in touch with recruiters here if it's a possibility.

Wow, thanks so much for thinking of me! DH and I LOVE Chicago - a number of my college friends live there and it is much closer to my parents (in MI). We have talked many times about how much we'd love to move there! H's job is fairly flexible at this point; he's freelancing for most of the year. It would be amazing if you could put me in touch with someone there.
Do you think firms there are open to hiring relatively new attorneys? The problem here in Boston is not so much that firms aren't hiring, but more that they are still being very picky and insisting on candidates with 3-5 years experience for essentially entry-level positions. I graduated from Boston University in 2009, but since I've just been contracting since then, I still feel like I am essentially an entry-level candidate, you know?
