I'm a bad Valentine...

I totally procrastinated getting J a card or gift for today. I usually give him so much crapola for not thinking things in advance, but I was so afraid that if I got him something, he'd find it and the surprise would be ruined (it has happened). So now today I have to get a card and some kind of little gift for him.

For the record, I used to work in a Hallmark store and HATED when people would come to our store looking for the best card ever on the day of. I am now THAT person. Ugh...

send him an e card or make one if you can.

FWIW- you already got him a Valentine's gift...your daughter!!! Make up for it for next year  when she is here and you both can get him a card and gift:-)

If you can't find him a good card make him one. DH has done that in the past and it's always so sweet and cute.

I bought my card this morning. There weren't a ton of cards but I still found a cute one. I don't think it's annoying unless you wait until the evening, rush in and harass the clerks because you're annoyed that there are no cards left.

I made a really cool card for T once out of office supplies though.  You should do that.    I used a manila folder as the card part (big card), and used a green hanging folder as an envelope.  Just a little creative cutting, a glue stick, and some pretty colored copier paper, and you could make something cute.

Probably a Valentine who knows her audience. Guys don't get as much of a kick out of cards usually. I know my DH doesn't unless they're really funny. I like your office supply card. I've made some funny cards cutting pics out of magazines and stuff he didn't expect. Honestly those are usually more successful than something Hallmark comes up with.

You cannot possibly be a worse Valentine than DH. Because DH refuses to acknowledge Valentines Day AT ALL. No cards, no flowers, no candy. Nothing. It's kind of depressing. More depressing because everyone else on my FB is saying how wonderful their honeys are and posting pictures of their flowers and ***.

Hey, you're not alone. My dh flubbed up. Nothing this year. Not even a card! Only now he feels terrible about it! Granted, I only did a card and made dinner with a chocolately dessert. It was meant to be low-key, but I at least expect a card.

Now, is your dh just opposed to the day or does he forget? Can he be trained?
