Has anyone used Empire for carpet?
We are using our income tax refund which is larger than expected (yah for getting to write off day care!!!) on fixing up our house for potential sale this summer. DH is now starting to fixate on getting new carpet or hardwood on top of what we've agreed. He wants to check out Empire. I thought someone used them here, but I don't remember... did anyone? Or does anyone know someone who has and can ask them about the experience?
Re: Has anyone used Empire for carpet?
They don't tend to get the best reviews (since all the work is actually just contracted out) buuuuut we did.
I feel like we got really lucky with the people they sent out, I really spent some time negotiating our prices for a carpet and tile job in our family room (PIB). The tile work was phenomenol I would be willing to bet the small company that came out to do the work probably lost money on the job but didn't want to turn it down at the time.
I would just gather as many quotes as you can and go from there, it's tedious but you will be really glad you idd.
