we just had dinner and were 10 minutes into watching 'book of eli' when dh gets called into work. he's been working on the problem for over an hour and doesn't see an end in sight. and the dumb thing is, it's something that he could totally take care of tomorrow. not an emergency at all, but b/c it came through he feels like he needs to take care of it so he doesn't look bad. thank goodness he can work at home at least.

if he earned OT for this I would be all for it...but not so nice since he doesn't.

Awww.....bummer!!

If it makes you feel any better, I just called DH (at 7:00), and he's still at work.  He was busy working on some project and totally didn't realize what time it is.  And he'll be bringing the project home with him to work on tonight.

I'm sorry Lauren, I know how you feel. DH worked 8am-9pm on Sat and Sun the weekend before last then he was at work till past 9 the rest of the week. He's now currently working on his laptop. Oh well, at least they're not lazy bums I guess!

I understand your frustration. But I think I am more like everyones husband. I have been know to bring my laptop home and work over the weekend. Since I have a smartphone I get my email on my phone and I am always checking that and emailing people even on my days off. I really need to unplug more but it is hard when you run a business.
