Actually, it kind of sounded like it was exploding. Chris came running toward the bathroom to see what was going on.
It was a T3 Pro , and I'm one of THOSE people who generally would buy only professional because I believe you get what you pay for. But, with the new house, I just can't justify a $150 hair dryer.
Any suggestions for an under $50 hair dryer? I have thick hair and a lot of it.

Re: My hair dryer died!
I'm the same as you! My old hair dryer was $175. But when it finally wore out a few months ago I knew that I couldn't spend that much again. (I have a lot of hair too. A LOT!) So I spent $30 instead. Honestly, while it's not quite as great as my old one, it's definitely totally decent. I recommend this: http://www.target.com/Revlon-Tourmaline-Ionic-Dryer/dp/B000FS05VG/ref=sc_qi_detaillink (Sorry, it's not letting me make it clicky for some reason.)
OK TN really hates me today.
I don't have super thick hair, so I'm not really sure how well this one would work for you. But I have this one
I've had it for about a year now, never any problems and it's still going strong. Of course it only takes me about 5-10min to dry my hair. So that may be why too. But it was about $35.
Mine is pretty old so I can't find a link for it, but basically, I like larger Conair hair dryers. I also have really thick hair, so I find that it takes forever to dry regardless, but Conair products always work well for me.
So something like this...
Okay, I am a retard. When I posted my recommendation I searched on Target (where I bought mine) and recommended the one that I thought I had. But I was wrong! The one that Xan recommended is actually the one that I have. Doh! So yeah...that's 2 votes for Conair.
