So left work at 830pm, didn't get to have dinner with DH.
Back at work this morning at 7.
I hope they give us some sort of comp time for being stuck here last night. You would think between this being an Army base, run by the Air Force, they called in the Navy bomb team and the local police were directing traffic that we wouldn't have been stuck for hours.

I got up super early this morning not sure why but I'm waiting till 8:30am and getting my butt back outside to work on the patio..
Dinner was super awesome last night. We went to this new restaurant down the road from us and I had a Restaurants.com coupon from them but they wouldn't take it which really made me mad because no where on the site or coupons did it say not valid on Holidays.. O Well the food was so good and DH wants to go back again so I guess the coupon will still come in handy.

Doubtful, this is the military and they could care less about us civilians. The only chance we might have at some comp time or overtime is if the union gets their act together to request it.
There is a 4 star coming as commander soon, we're all pretty sure things will tighten up once he's on board.
And people wonder why DOD gets a bad rap, somethings just make me ::head desk:: around here.

Shaina - Got to love the DOD ::rolls eyes::. They always seem to be able to screw up almost any personal event. Sorry you didn't get to have dinner with your DH. Hope you get comp time or something for being stuck there last night.
That blows!!! I logged on last night to see if you finally got home I can't believe it lasted that long after it had somewhat been 'handled'.
When I got home last night DH had those Dove truffles waiting for me. They are sooooo delicious!!!!
DH usually goes to bed before I do and he will take Lilly up with him and let her sleep on the bed until I come up with Lana. Well thanks to this bad habit we were treated to her cries last night from her bed, this dog is 5 years old. We both took turns checking her out to be sure she wasn't hurt or anything (and letting her outside) when I finally decided sleeping on the bed is done moving forward and she could cry herself to sleep. I am exhausted today.

Shaina, sorry you had such a craptastic VDay.
I'm really trying to a. stop complaining and b. try to get out of the dumps. I got an email from someone yesterday that just made it sound like she didn't care that I'm stuck here for months until work replaces me and I realized how tiresome I've become with my complaining. But here I am at work (on a break, I might add) and it took me nearly 2 hours to get through my mail, read and file, and now on to the rest of the work I have to do, which just feels like it will never end.
Morning! I had a good evening. I went over to my mom's cousin's house last night to work on baby shower invites for her daughter.
Dh was in buffalo last night so I didn't get to see him.. BOOOO.
Today will hopefully be a good day.
