How does your hubby help out with the above?
Re: Chores/Shopping/Etc
He does a good share of the chores, probably half (especially now). Grocery shopping is all me. He hates it, and I enjoy it, so it works out.
He does most of the outside chores at our house, because I kind of hate working outside. Except for shoveling snow. I don't mind shoveling snow, actually.
I do most of the inside chores except for the vaccuuming which he does. He's also really good about keeping the house picked up in general. Oh, and he also does the dishes almost all the time.
I do all of the shopping and almost all of the cooking.
Very similar to Kasa - he takes the bulk of the outdoor work and I do the bulk of the indoor work. He snowblows, mows the lawn, weeds, trash to curb, dog doodie duty - but I help out with all of that on occassion. He also does the litter box most of the time. I do a majority of the laundry, dishes, vaccuuming, and general day to day tidying up. We aim to split dog walking (Him MTWTh, me FSaSu) although I tend to end up walking the dogs more.
I actually really like meal planning/grocery shopping, so I usually do that. I cook probably 2/3rds of the time, but he regularly offers to cook since he gets home first.
Ha! Very little. He is soley responsible for mowing. I refuse to touch the mower. He is supposed to do most of the outside stuff...snowblowing, raking, etc. He is also supposed to take out the trash, sweep and mop the hardwoods once a week and keep his bathroom clean. I usually end up doing a lot of it for him. He does commute an hour to and from work, go to school and travel a lot for work so I'm okay with it most of the time.
I actually like doing the meal planning and online grocery shopping, so I don't mind that. I also do all the bills, which I also really like. I cook almost 100% of the time but DH does clean up afterwards, I have to give him that.
Chores- for the most part this is my responsibility since I'm a SAHM. He does take out the trash. He'll pick up Baby Rebel's toys once he's gone to bed. He'll also do load the washer and dryer, but I get to fold all the laundry since he refuses to learn how to do it nicely.
Shopping- Normally we both go grocery shopping. The last few trips I've made alone, but he's unloaded the car and helped me put away. I hate shopping alone, but those last trips were after Baby Rebel's bedtime, so that's why I went alone.
I'm not really sure what else there is.
My Profile
DH takes the garbage out, does all the snowblowing/shoveling, and most of the mowing. I raked most of the leaves because i was outside with Ben a lot and did it while he "helped"
I do most of the cooking, because of our work schedules. We have to eat right when DH walks in the door so I can leave for work. I do most of the everyday cleaning - vaccuming, dishes, laundry, dusting, bathrooms, etc. He does straighten the kitchen and the living room each night after Ben goes to bed so I dont come home to a disaster. And we split the pet duties, including litter boxes.
ETA: We mostly do the grocery shopping on Monday afternoons so we can all go. Ben is a terror at the grocery store so I hate taking him alone and avoid it like the plague.
XN - All grocery shopping, all cooking, cleans the cats' litter box, cleans the shower, cleans the kitchen, does his own laundry
Me - Mop the bathrooms/kitchen floors, clean the bathroom sinks/toilets, do my own laundry
Both - Load/empty dishwasher, vacuum
Landlord - All the outside crap
Husband - all outside chores, pays all the bills, cleans the toilets.
Me - all grocery shopping & cooking, some vacuuming, all dusting, floors, bathrooms (minus toilets). I do a bit more because I only work part-time.
Both - vacuuming, dishes, general picking up (though our house still looks like a hurricane disaster area most of the time thanks to 2 kids), and laundry.
He sure does help. Actually he does like 99% of the laundry. He is awesome with it too! I do all the cooking. we share on the house cleaning. Grocery shopping is mainly all me. a couple times a year he will do that.
Yeah...My husband rocks. :0)
He will unload the dishwasher if I ask; he can do laundry (but isn't so great at folding). He takes out the trash/recycling on Sunday night. He'll vacuum or mop the floor once in a blue moon if he decides they're messy enough, though this is usually my job.
He will pick up something from the grocery store if I call and ask, or send him with a list, but I really love shopping so I usually do it all on my own.
