Hi There,
I have relatives and friends that live in Cary. It is a very nice town. Possibly small if you are from a big city experience, however, it is not too far from Chicago and other bigger burbs to make it ok. You can get most anywhere from there pretty easy.
Lot of great biking and walking paths in the Cary/Crystal Lake/Algonquin areas. Cute little shops and eateries too. The schools are nice too, if you have that need. I guess it all depends on what you like/need. But if it is a good job move, you should probably have no trouble settling in and building a nice home and life there.
I have lived in the Nothern IL suburbs most of my life - Lindenhurst, Grayslake, Schaumburg, Bartlett. Good luck.
