Hi Ladies -

Thanks for responding.  Just wanted to get a general feel for the work environment at Fidelity.  Lots of companies talk about a work-life balance - but I've found that very few follow through.......

 I had seen an open position for a Financial Analyst that supports the Operations Teams in Global Integrated Services (GIS).  Any insight on the position/team?

I don't know anything about that group.  I can talk to some co-workers tomorrow who have worked in other departments and see if they know anything.  I have worked here for almost 8 years in the same group, so I don't know too much outside of my department.

I think it depends on the actual group for the work/life balance.  I know that my department tries to follow through on it.  When I had my 3rd child the beginning of this year, I started working 4 10-hour days so that I am home on Wednesdays.  A few people in my group do this as well, or work from home one day a week.
