It's my first time, so be gentle... :)
Hi everyone! I just joined The Nest yesterday so I'm new at all of this. I live in Upstate, SC. So far, I'm really into the boards about decorating, cooking, and married life. I really want to learn more about cooking healthier, tasty meals that my husband will actually eat. I'm not very patient and don't like to take more than 30-45 minutes at night to cook...does anyone have any good, healthy, simple recipes they'd like to share?

I live in Anderson County. My husband is our resident expert at throwing together healthy dishes on short notice. He has owned two restaurants in the past (none in the upstate) and spent a good bit of time doing some of the cooking. I'd be happy to send you some ideas from his menu.
Do you have any food allergies or anything that you or your husband absolutely won't eat? It may be seem like a silly question, but we have a neighbor who won't even come into the house if we're preparing something with bell pepper!
In the meantime, pasta dishes are usually quick and easy. Anything with a marinara (red) sauce tends to be healthier than Alfredo (white) sauce. And don't forget how handy a crock pot can be in freeing up your time! I can make a pot roast in that while we're at work, and it's ready when we get home.
Another good time-saving investment if you don't already have one: A food processor.
Okay, that's a start for now...
Welcome to our slow board . I live in Mauldin and I come over to this board every so often, but it's just so dang slow. I mainly hang out and post on the baby boards.
Nice to "meet" you.
Thank you! I will eat anything or at least try anything, but my husband is SUPER picky. He's gotten better lately and he will at least try things sometimes, but he is weirded out by pretty much anything other than meat & potatoes...it drives me nuts!
I'm learning to love my crockpot, it makes life easier. I have to confess that I got a really nice food processor for my wedding months go and have yet to open the box. Maybe I will do that this weekend!
Welcome to the board. I pop in maybe every two weeks or so to see if anythings going on with the girls or if there are any gtgs in the future. I live in Spartanburg, so we aren't far away.
I'm not of any help on the cooking front, DH does most of our cooking.
