My Mom brought over my baby book last night...

I had another rough day yesterday and was in L&D for half the day.  I had an appointment yesterday morning, feeling fine but my BP was very high and they said I had protein in my urine.   So I went to L&D at the advise of my Dr.  Once there my BP leveled out and they said I had no protein in my urine.  Not sure what the deal is but being there for so long really takes it out of a girl.

Anyway, my mom called yesterday and said that she dug out my baby book and is just getting so excited about the baby.  She brought it over and as I was going through it last night I found a letter that my Grandpa (who passed away 2 years ago) wrote about a day he spent with me.  I'm SO glad my mom kept that because it was sooo sweet.  After reading the letter I could totally remember that day and it was kind of nostalgic for me.  Then I found a letter that my Grandma (who passed away 5 years ago) wrote to my mom when she was babysitting me when I was 4 months old and had a fever.  It was just the sweetest letter and so detailed on everything she did with me.

I miss those Grandparents but I'm so glad my mom saved these things so that I could look back on them.  Now I need to remember to do that as well!

  • how sweet. :-) Reading your post brought tears to my eyes and gave me an idea! I think I'm going to have my parents and the ILs write letters to Allison and save them for her for when she is older.
  • Aww Jayme, that was so sweet.  I got teary-eyed too.

  • Aw!  That's awesome!  I love that your grandparents wrote letters!  That's so cool!  Enjoy!
  • That is the most sweetest remembrance! I love that you have those letters. I would frame them.  So precious!!  I hope you are feeling better.
  • awww that is so awseome!!! i think i'm going to copy nicole and have members and myself write a letter to jordyn AND jacob! and just save them!
  • Reading your post made me teary eyed too. What a great idea to have grandparents write to the children and keeping it for memories. I think I will ask my parents - all 3 sets of them - to write to the kids especially since one of them has a birthday coming up. Thank you for sharing.?

  • How sweet! I agree with everyone else that this is a great idea for family members to do.
  • Awe jayme!!!

    Thats so sweet!

My grandma and I write each other all the time because she lives so far away.  We've been pen pals.  About a year or so ago, i started to keep all of them in a shoe box.  After I read each one, i store it.  I know she wont be around much longer, and I dont want to look back wishing i had kept some of them.

What a great idea of your mom!

  • That is just so sweet!
