digital copy of a DVD on my Mac
How do I put a digital copy of a DVD on my MacBook Pro?
I have a movie that I am wanting to put it on my Mac. I clicked the DVD icon and copied it to my desktop. When I go to click the copied file it opens it up like in folders, instead of the movie opening up. Ex. Upon clicking it I see two different files with the names "AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS".
Am I doing this incorrectly?

Re: digital copy of a DVD on my Mac
This is a DVD like a movie, not like a data disc someone made for you, right?
Data discs work just like you said - drag and drop. Movies don't work the same way because they generally have stuff built in to keep you from copying it (and subsequently sharing with other people who didn't purchase it). You need a program to copy it. I use HandBrake on my mac and it's worked great for me. It will take a long time to copy the DVD because it basically has to play it and record it over again. But, at least it works.
Hope this helps!
I shouldn't need a program to copy it if it's an authorize 1 time digital copy from the actual DVD though, right?
It's an actual DVD (Despicable Me).
I found the solution:
