f/u douchebag of the year...

From my previous post, I mentioned their little baby girl.  She turns 1 this week, and actually before my cousin decided to leave her husband, they were supposed to be back in town today any way for the 1 year-olds birthday party - but since they've moved away, it was going to be a pretty big thing.

Well, since she decided to leave him earlier this week, my cousins parents canceled the big party, but wanted to have something small for close family members only, to give the baby a little party and to show my cousin support.

Guess who is going to be there?!?!   Ye ol' Douchebag.  Everyone is pissed and doesn't want to go.  I guess her parents tried to say no, and I guess they caved.

Actually, when they first canceled the big party he threw a fit!!  Mind you, he wasn't even contributing a dime to it or a second of planning, this was all my cousins parents arranging.  "Why did you cancel MY, I mean, my daughters party?" Maybe because your dumb-asss had an affair while married to their daughter, not to mention how you've treated her like sh*t for the past 5 months as she hoped to work it out?

This might be the most awkward 1st birthday party.  ever.

  • I don't understand why people in that type of situation act that way. Do they not realize that it is no longer about them but about the child? My BIL and SIL are/were not getting along and the only ones that are suffering are their children. People need to stop being so selfish and realize that is their children that are being put in the middle of a husband/wife issue that has nothing to do with the child.

I would tell him he is not welcome to come to their party but that he is more than welcome to have his own party for her.

GL, I must say that I do not envy you at all in that situation.

  • I'd like to amend my original solution. He doesn't need a swift kick to the balls, he needs a dancing lesson on them.

This.  Seriously, this guy doesn't care for his family. He put it all in jeopardy by cheating; he treats them badly, and still wants to be involved in any FUN activity planned by others for the poor wife and daughter. What a poor excuse for a human being.
