XP-Scary night

So I was doing my laundry last evening and cooking dinner upstairs.  My parents were visiting and my dad comes upstairs saying he smells smoke downstairs.  I think he's going off the deep end, but to humour him, I went down to check.  Sure enough, it stank down there, and there was a bit of smoke coming out of the bathroom.  Not enough to set off the smoke detectors.  So, we had to call 911 and get the fire dept here.  They fuse to the dryer had burned out in the electrical panel, so they came in and had to check our wiring to make sure it hadn't combusted.  I sure am thankful that my dad was here.

The worst part though is that it was supposed to be a weekend away with my parents babysitting...last time they came for this reason I got hospitalized with pneumonia.  So, either kid free weekends aren't supposed to happen, or I need to stop doing laundry

That is really scary!! The good thing is that you were home and your dad was there to catch it, so I guess everything happens for a reason!

I think this goes to show, laundry is dangerous!!
