A snow day?! Unheard of!

I am so happy! I work at a child care center in Saint Anthony and I just found out an hour ago that we actually have the day off tomorrow due to bad weather conditions! This happens once in a blue moon, so I am very thrilled. I don't think I would have been able to make it there anyway. I live in Woodbury and the snow is up to my trunk on my car.

Anyone else have a snow day? I know a lot of people have tomorrow off for President's Day. What are you all going to do on your day off?

I have one! I was only supposed to have one class, but it was at 9, so it would have been AWFUL trying to get there. Now I can sleep in! And as a bonus, DH already had the day off for President's Day!

I just got an automated message from my work saying that the office will not open until road conditions are improved tomorrow.  I'm in Woodbury as well but I'm not quite sure what that means for me though, because I work from home.....  I hope they just give us the day off if everyone in the office gets it off!

The students all have the day off, but I have to go in for staff in-service. It's been delayed an hour so far. I'm still holding out hope for a snow day (even though I pretty much know that won't happen. )

We're closed till noon tomorrow and I think I might just work from home the rest of the day. I guess I'll have to help DH shovel though. At least I get to sleep in!

I just got the call 15 minutes ago that we're having a 2 hour late start, but it's due to a heating issue at my school.  We are north of yesterday's storm path, so we didn't get any new snow, but we've got a wind chill advisory.  

I stopped at school yesterday to drop off groceries....I hope I didn't do anything to kill the heat system!

We're closed until noon!  I had the afternoon scheduled off anyway, so I guess I'm home for the day!  I have to admit, I love snow days at the U.  When I was a student, I worked in one of the dorms (and lived in the same building.)  The U closed at like 2 or so, and my shift was until 8.  I got paid double-time for staying while the campus was closed.  Worked for me, since I only had to walk up a flight of stairs to get home

I wish I was home!  DH got a snow day and gets to stay home with Ellie.  I work at a Vet Hospital so we can't close.

yeah, there is no such thing as a snow day in retail. the bullseye is always open.

No snow day for me.  4 out of the 7 people who work here live on property.  We would have no excuse to close.  Roads weren't too bad though, a little snow packed and a little icy. Everythng was plowed well on my route.

I already had today off for Presidents Day.  I would be enjoying it much more if DH weren't home sick.  I think I'd rather be at work today

The snow couldn't have come at a better time for those of us who do have to work today - traffic was nice and light driving in today which is good because it took long enough as it was even with light traffic!!

I already had the day off due to the holiday.  DH's company is closed due to the snow.

My boss texted me at 11pm last night and said stay home.  DH was already off so that worked for me.  He's trying to go snowboarding with my brother today, I may have him drop me at work on his way to get him if he does make it out...  We're just waiting for our driveway to get plowed out.

I got an automated message yesterday around 6p that we didn't have to come in until 11am.  Then I got another message this morning at 8am requesting that we call in to let our manager know if we could make it in.  I came in since our street was plowed and  I'd say about half of us are here today.  Luckily we all get paid for a full day anyway

I felt like I was the only one who had to go to work this morning.  There was no traffic and I take 4 highways to get to work!
