I've seen TJ mentioned quite a bit on several of the boards but figured you ladies would know best! DH and I are going to be up in Atlanta in a couple weeks, and I'm wondering if TJ is worth a stop by. We're driving and visiting friends so if you all say we should go, we will.
The reason I'm asking is because we have a Whole Foods about 30 mins away but have seen a lot of positive response to TJ and a coworker highly recommends we go. Any reason for a special trip?
Thoughts, please:)
Re: Trader Joe's ?
For what it's worth, I used to avoid both before I really got myself orgainized and started paying attention to prices- I thought both were too expensive. Now I check TJ's before heading tothe co-op and Whole Foods in the same fashion. I try to recall average prices for most of my staples and it's great to stock up on things when they're on sale. I have heard that TJs is often over stocked items- so the price can be great- for that reason I go on my way to my main shop so I don't feel trapped into buying the things that are more $$ than I'd normally spend. I think you can do really well at both- and they both have fun atmospheres- have fun in ATL (and- they're pretty close if you're going to the one's on Ponce.
