Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

NYC Nesties - READ THIS please!
I will be posting a thread similar to our "Visiting NYC? Read this first!" sticky that is up in the green bar.
It will be called "Moving to NYC? Read this first!" Please post all of your advice to people who may be moving to NYC in that thread, but only advice - put any questions to me here. That thread will become a new sticky.
Some ideas about what kind of advice people are looking for:
-neighborhood suggestions
-how we do day to day things like grocery shop and get to work
-transportation suggestions
-basically anything you think someone moving to NYC would need to know! it's ok if it turns into a shout-out for our own individual neighborhoods - just give your reasons why you love where you live so that it will be helpful to others.
I will post the new thread later in the afternoon today, to give everyone time to read this thread first, so that there is minimal confusion.
