missing planning?!

My brother just got engaged!! I'm so so excited for them and love my new sister in law to be!!!  But all this wedding talk/thinking is making me miss planning! =(  Anyone else get this way?

Re: missing planning?!

  • I did for a little at first.  But I have three weddings that I am going to this summer, so when I feel like I'm missing wedding planning, I just talk to one of my friends getting married and talk wedding details with them :-)  I think it's better than planning my own.  I don't know if I would ever want to do that again lol!

  • I do too, especially with a few people I know planning May weddings. I'm cured when budget restraints come up though, I don't miss that!
  • I do miss planning, especially when guests of our wedding talk about how our wedding was the best they've ever been to.  Actually, a few of my guests suggested that I consider becoming a wedding planner.  Given the state of education at the moment, I have actually been thinking about this, but don't really know how to get started.  I'd like to do it as a second job at first, maybe just during the summer when I'm off teaching.  I honestly loved planning my wedding and making things for it, and I think that I'd love doing it even more for other people!
  • i miss planning too... but my friend is getting married in july so i'm living vicariously through her and another one of my friend's just got engaged so we get to chat about all the researching... which is actually fun!
  • Haha, not even for one second. I loved planning the wedding, but any time someone mentions wedding the first thing I remember is how stressful planning was. Once was enough for me. I'm very happy that we had a wedding with so many details, but if I had to do it over again, we would go to Vegas.
