June 2009 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
It's vs Its. I always get confused about this one so half the time I guess and the other half I write out "it is". Set me straight Mamie and other grammar.
My grammar pet peeve is spelling. I know I can type fast and mess up, but when I see it, I correct it. FB kills me all the time with this!

Re: Another grammar question
It's is a contraction for "it is" ---> "It's really warm today!"
Its is the posessive of "it" ---> "The dog is ignoring its food." (That is a bad example because you would probably say "his" or "her" food, not "its," but that is the correct use of it.)
SBS is correct (of course). This is another one of my pet peeves (but really...wasn't isn't at this point?).
another example including both:
It's puzzling how the chair is sitting on its side.

Thanks SBS & Mamie!

On a related note, people mess this up with who's and whose a lot. I remember seeing this on a huge billboard at Dodger Stadium, like "Whose your favorite team?" or something like that.
Whose starts to look really weird when you type it that many times.
