Wednesday again already! Its been really quiet around here today, so I thought I would start this up and see if we could get something going.
My news, well, we're officially TTC now!
We're still working on the room, but as we thought we would be done by now, we had talked about this month as thee month. So when October started and the room still wasn't complete, I told Trav that I thought we should just go for it since the room should definitely be done by the end of this month and before we would find out anyway. To my surprise, he agreed! I was a little afraid that he would have a "holy crap, no way" moment when it actually came to uh... doing it... this cycle. But my worries were unfounded! So wish me luck because here we go!

Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

Meegs-- Congrats on being "officially ttc"!! (Is it wrong that I'm a little jealous that you have easy access to free sperm? *pout*
) Good luck finishing the room.
bluedaisyus-- WOW that is so exciting! Let us know how it goes!!
As for us...
We sat down and talked about our annual schedules at work (busy times/less-busy times) and decided on a group of months that it will be best for us to "try" (assuming that I'd leave work roughly 8-9 months after conception and would be out on maternity leave for 3 months-- yes, a very rough calculation). We've already passed all our "try" months for this year, so we plan to have our first month of ttc in... (drumroll please)... April! So we have 5 months to get everything else on our "to do" list done.
Of course, I have been very "anti-schedule" lately, and I'm relatively certain the plan will go out the window once we start, but for now it's providing a helpful framework for our "to do" list. And incentive for me to get my cycles regulated as much as I can-- with the looong cycles I've been having, I'll be lucky if I eek out 4-5 cycles in our 7 "try" months of the year.
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!

::passes Meegs wine:: -- enjoy TTC!!
We were in a dept. store passing the baby furniture and K began asking questions about cribs. It's a simple little thing, but also a simple reminder that eventually we'll get there.
How exciting! Good luck ladies!
No new news here. The baby fever has calmed over here! The past year (actually, more like past 2 years) have been pretty hectic for us, but now things have calmed down considerably. I know that we are less than a year from TTC, and now we are really just enjoying life in the mean time. It's a nice feeling - and also the reason why I haven't really been posting on this thread. But I'm still following everyone else's updates and routing for those who are trying!!

Well we are just waiting for ovulation so we can go for our first try! So other than waiting for the big day nothing else going on here.
Great news Meegs! Can't wait to hear how it goes Blue!
ok ladies, here's my update:
the doc said he wanted to see her lining at 10mm minimum and it was at 17mm, which he said was great. he wanted to see follicles that were at least 22mm. she had one in her left ovary that was 27mm and a few small ones, and two that were 22mm in the right. so we're good to go. she's doing the trigger shot tonight between 9-9:30, and we're going in at 9 on friday morning for the first attempt!
Good luck to you too! :-)

Hi All,
Like Mrs.F, we too are enjoying life and not super baby crazy. Doing 3 postpartum overnights a week with 3 week old twins definitely satisfies my craving for baby-time. I know that it will be different when it's our own baby, and I'm completely looking forward to that, but not in as much of a hurry. We're now past our 1 year until ttc mark (tentatively starting in Sept/Oct 2009) so that's great. The only real TTC thing we're working on is saving money and getting rid of stuff we don't need (furniture, clutter, etc). We have about half of our goal amount with a goal of buying by my birthday in late Feb. We're also talking about taking a trip then, perhaps Hawaii, as a last big trip before school gets crazy with the final quarter of my first year of grad school and then summer with a move (hopefully).
School and work have been busy, but I'm hoping to post at least a few times a week on my new blog.
Good luck on trying this month!
Things are status quo here. I get released from the RE on Friday hopefully, and I have my first regular OB appointment on the 21st.
Things didn't work out with my job transfer so we are currently trying to figure out what we will be doing for childcare froom 2pm- 5:30 pm every day, which sucks. I guess something will have to work out.

I would look for a teacher or a college student for that time slot. I work from 3-6pm for my nanny job and it is the perfect amount of work. I get some cash and I get home at about the same time as S. If their is a college in your area classes are usually done for the day and I am sure you could find a student (or grad student) for that time period.

Good luck Meegs, bluedaisy and ssg! This board is in for a baby boom. So exciting!
