best deal for iPod touch?
we have finally convinced ourselves we want iPods....curious if there are pros to getting this right from apple (we have an apple store close to us) or if there are good deals online....part of me wants to explore this new Best Buy buy back program but not sure where else to look. i am doing google searches but not finding any amazing deals.
we are shooting for the 32 G ones.
Re: best deal for iPod touch?
If you can live without the camera, the best deal is to get a refurbished one from Apple. I got my 32 G for $229, which is $70 off retail. Then I used ebates to get another 1.5% back I think? Not much, but better than nothing.
The ones on Ebay don't sell for much less than retail. And a LOT of sellers misrepresent their auction for the iPods. I saw a lot of them that were labeled "New in Box" but when you read the description, it said it had been used for a day or a week or something ridiculous like that. It's either new or used, friends, and yours is used. Nice try.
They don't currently have any refurbished in the latest generation, so like I said, right now you can't get camera if you go refurbished. But I would still buy from Apple or Target or some other reputable retailer, and then go on ebates and get a bit of cash back, rather than take chances with a lesser known retailer or an auction.
