Ok girls...DH and I just put in an offer for our first home (potentially)!

I'm absolutely insanely nervous, but very excited as I feel like a real grown up, even more than getting married actually...

shoot me some Nestie Vibes and Auggie Bride love, cuz it'd be so great for this to get accepted, and for us to get this place.  It's just right for us!  

We're in competition with one other offer...they got theirs in first, but we sense we've offered more, and also I'm being cheesey and including a personal letter that expresses our thanks to the sellers for being considered, and how we feel we could continue the love and care for the home that they (sellers) have clearly displayed for the property.

We'll know by Friday at the latest...eeeeek...

What a big step!  I'll be sending some vibes your way that you get the house!  DH and I closed in July, and the waiting day after making our offer was the worst.  My advice: a bottle of wine and some mindless tasks to keep your mind off of it while you wait.  Good luck!

good luck! we were in a similar situation with another offer on our house. we packaged a letter with the offer, which was the reason why they went with our offer, even though it was a bit lower. the original owners connected with us because they were in a similar situation (just married, lived in the town, starting a life together) when they bought the house... so cheesiness works!

We'll know by Friday at the latest...eeeeek...

Thanks girls...no word yet, they are deciding now, so I should have news one way or the other tomorrow! :-/  AHHH!
