Out-of-Towner visiting SC - HELP!!!!
Good morning ladies!
I am planning a small road trip with my daughter and a close friend to SC over the summer months. We are planning on stopping in Raleigh (family)NC, Wilmington, and Charlestown. Would you recommend any other places we should see or things we should do that would be good for kids? Thanks for all of your help
Re: Out-of-Towner visiting SC - HELP!!!!
Charleston is a must! It's a very historical place for our nation. You can see Fort Sumter while standing at the Battery. Folly Beach is a great location to stay. Avoid Myrtle Beach the Summer months, it's trashy anyways. Full of tweens, teens, and out of towners.
Wilmington is beautiful, try to locate as many light houses as you can! Top Sail Beach is amazing as well in NC.
You must come to Charleston!! It is such an amazing, beautiful, and friendly city we have here. How old is your daughter? There are alot of historical tours and carriage tours that are great for tourists. We have Ft. Sumter as well. Tons of shopping downtown, be sure to see the ladies weaving the sweetgrass baskets, its an incredible talent! Our beaches are quite and gorgeous, go to Isle of Palms for the beach, its the nicest one in my opinion.
I agree w/ PP, go to Bessinger's BBQ on Savannah Highway in West Ashley for out of this world BBQ!!
