This is not an attack. I repeat this is not an attack. I am not suggesting you should do this. Nor am I saying that to not shorten your quotes would be offensive.
I just thought it might be helpful since I use it all the time.
You know how sometimes you want to quote something someone said, but they wrote a whole book? But you only want to quote a single sentence?
Well you can delete the whole book and leave only what they said and it will still work - AS LONG AS you don't delete the part that starts out as
[qoute=username] and the end part [/qoute]
Anything in the middle is game.
This is also helpful if you want to quote someone who already quoted someone else.
For example if you want to quote user1 who already quoted user 2, when you hit quote, this will pop up -
[qoute=user1] [qoute=user2] user 2 said this[/qoute] user 1 said this [/qoute]
To only get rid of user 2's quote, delete <[qoute=user2]whatever user 2 said[/qoute].>
Leave the 1st< [qoute=user1] tag and the end [/qoute]> tag.
That way you're not quoting 2 whole long quotes with photos etc. all over again. I mean, we already saw it twice.
Just in case anyone wanted to know....
Nerd out!
Note: I spelled quote wrong so that this carppy thing wouldn't try to read the html.
Re: PSA - Quoting other users
OMG! You could have just PM'd me instead of calling me out in front of everyone!
JK. I love how you felt you had to explain your "misspelling" though. ;-)
Yes, but that would mean extra work.
So then I shouldn't quote your long book?
Totally agree!
