Confession time....

I confess that I want to say a big fat I TOLD YOU SO to a friend of mine.  When she started dating this guy, I just knew it would be bad.  He's on my very short list of people I hate.  I mean, this guy is a complete ***, just a Grade A Manipulator, this guy is the drama llama's BFF.  After a period of bad mouthing (which I'm not proud of, now), I apologized to her and told her as long as her heart was safe, I was happy for her.

Unsurprisingly, this leopard did not change his spots.  He has exploited her low self esteem, and kept her on a short emotional leash.  Well, he's finally broken up with her, after reading her the riot act about what a terrible person she is.  She isn't, but that's what I knew he would do.  Now she has no place to live (though I told her she could bunk here for a bit if she needs to), and is still sleeping at "his" apartment.  Last week they were talking about buying a house (huuuuuuuuuge inside eyeroll).

    Sigh.

I also confess that I majorly BSed my way through a paper.  1000 words or more, this class has 350 students, plus another 200 online.  With maybe 6 TAs.  We submit the paper online, where it's run through a database to check for plagiarism.  Everyone I've talked to about the last paper got 50 out of 50.  I think they check that it has at least 1000 words, and makes sure it's not plagiarized, then give you full credit without reading it.   So I just kind of pulled this one out of my nether region.

  • Jena, one of my best friends is in a very similiar situation and I'm still holding out hope that the assshole doesn't prove me right (AGAIN!).  They've actually gone a step further and got engaged last summer, but he's broken it off a few times already.  They are house shopping right now and it makes me nauseas.

    Ugh.
