As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

What are the points that are underneath my name on the side of all my posts? Does anyone know?

they are pretty much nothing. You get points for every time you post or reply to a post. You're bronze once you get to 500 and silver at 2000, gold at 3000, or something like that.
something to keep us going I guess. I've been bronze forever and now that you reminded me, I want to go silver. It will do me no good at all, but I still want it.
