I have a question for those living in California who have registered as Domestic Partners...
My fiancee and I are holding our wedding ceremony on October 15th and I would LOVE to have our domestic partnership certificate reflect that date.
My main questions are:
1) How long did it take you to get your domestic partnership certificate back if you did yours by mail?
2) Is the date on your certificate the date you signed the paperwork, or the date that the Secretary of State received it?
3) If you did it over-the-counter in either the Sacramento or L.A. regional office, did you receive your certificate that same day?
Thanks for the help in advance...I've already tried contacting the Secretary of State's office, but I have little faith in a completely coherent/quick answer!
Re: DP Paperwork (California)
First off congrats on the wedding!
1) How long did it take you to get your domestic partnership certificate back if you did yours by mail? Almost 2 weeks.
2) Is the date on your certificate the date you signed the paperwork, or the date that the Secretary of State received it? Ours reflects the date we signed the paper work.
