Finally!

It has taken a good two and a half weeks, countless trips to Ace, Home Depot, Sherwin Williams... but I am finally done painting one bedroom!!  I thought it would be one bedroom per weekend.  But the first weekend was prepping and priming just the one room, and cursing the previous owners. Then more prepping that one room.   Then painting the ceiling.   Then painting two walls.Then moving furniture and painting the last two walls.  Then running out of paint on the second coat of the last two walls.  Then buying more paint.  Then the trim.  Then touching up the trim.  And I am finally done!!  One more room (my office) will be this weekend (less prep work, I've been doing it when I was waiting for paint to dry in the other room,  just a little more sanding, washing the walls, and priming for tomorrow night!).  

We are going to hold off on the master bedroom until after I give my first couple of lectures (for my sanity).

Wow.  I feel tired just reading this!  I'm glad it's getting done.  Yay!

Yea!  Have fun painting!  Just this weekend I finally talked DH into agreeing to getting our house painted this summer.  He just doesn't want to be worried by it right now because of his school work but really, the paint is horrible!  The previous owners really took the easy way out of things.  There are spots where they painted around their furniture and since we obviously don't have the same size of furniture as they did, it just looks horrible.  And that's just one example of the shortcuts they took.  In hindsight, I wish that we requested money for paint when writing up the contract due to how horrible it is.
