problem w/ my first CSA box

I'm jazzed but I hardly know what anything is.  Honestly I thought I would get a litte list or something.

It's also A LOT less food than I thought it would be. 

Any ideas on how to figure it out?  I guess I could just call but i can't do that every week. 

I assumed they would be sending me things I was not familiar with, but i didn't think they wouldn't tell me what it was.

Does your CSA have a website where they might list what they're growing? You could google the stuff you don't know and see what it looks like.

Can you ask them? As for the quantity, the begining always starts off slow.  The first few weeks of market here (we don't start until May) is just leafy greens.

I'm in HI so the growing season is year round.

That is tough.. even if you know what the stuff is but you've never cooked with it.  Too bad you don't have at least some notice of what might be in the box for the week.  I used to spend days doing meal planning.. like "what do I do with a huge stash of rainbow chard" or how to freeze/prep it either.

Is it tons of asian greens? Pretty much all of them can just be stir fried and the name doesn't much help you. But our CSA has a list and recipes and a little bit about what's happening on the farm this week.
