My friend told me I should call my Dr's office asap.
My knee and calf took the brunt of the fall, I don't really have any cramps (aside from the ocassional cramp I feel from time to time regardless) and I totally can feel the baby moving around a little here and there.
I thought if I had noticeably stronger cramps or spotting I should call but this friend is insisting. I feel fine and was only shaken up for a second it really wasn't that horrible of a fall besides my knee feel a little beat up.
Re: Fell this morning
Call and see what your Doctor wants you to do. Its better to be safe than sorry.
That sucks you fell
Thanks, it's my fault I was rushing and didn't realize how much ice was under the snow. I lost my apple in the process which probably ticked me of the most.
I called but was on hold for like 4 minutes so will call back in a while.
I'd probably call just to make sure, but since there is no spotting and you can feel the babe, I'm sure everything is ok. Glad you didn't hurt yourself too badly!
And sorry about the apple, that blows
I know!! I have one every day (it helps with 'things'). DH called to tell me he found it under his car.
I have def felt it a bunch in the last hour so I feel a lot better.
oh goodness! Hope everything is ok Pooks (and I'm betting it is). Def. keep us posted when you finally do get in touch with the dr.
And bummer about the apple

I fell a couple weeks ago (ruined an expensive pair of maternity pants....grrr). Like you, my knee and the heel of one of my hands took the brunt of the force.
Basically what you have to worry most about is the impact making the placenta come away from the uterine wall. The only thing you can really do to see if everything is ok is monitor the baby's movements.
Call your doc again and let them decide if they want to see you. Always better to be safe than sorry!

I'm sorry you fell Pooks and hope you aren't too achy. I would call the doctor and let them decide. I'm sure everything is fine with the baby, but it doesn't hurt to be too carefull.
I fell when I was about 38 weeks and my knees and legs took the brunt of the fall. I called the after hours number at the OB and they said unless I was cramping or bleeding I didn't need to come in.

Thanks ladies.
I called back and left a voicemail with the office nurse, I talk to her quite a bit and am waiting to hear back if I don't by the end of lunch I will call again. I can still feel him/her moving around ocassionally though now I keep panicking a little that it is in distress and that is why it's flopping around so much.
I guess anything can stress you out if you spin it just the right way.
Welcome to the dark side
Well as soon as I told the nurse I had bruises from the fall she sent me in for monitoring. I really only sort of said it in 'passing' like "oh it wasn't that bad I just have some bruising on my legs".
We just got home, but it was nice to get the ultrasound, even if I did have the get the rogham injection earlier than I expected (just in case).
Welcome to the dark side
Better safe than sorry! Glad everything is ok, and an extra ultrasound is always nice

Thanks again everyone!!!!
The whole thing just made me a bit paranoid, I am just laying here waiting for the baby to move because I can't sleep now. DH was so freaked out when he got there, it was sweet but unsettling I really hate seeing other peoples vulnerability when I am use to them being a bit stronger.
