Getting Federal Tax Return

How long did it take to get your Federal Tax return? Our State return came really fast, like within 48 hours. But it's been a week and a half and we still don't have our Federal. I know Federal always takes longer, but I'm getting anxious.

We did our taxes on 2/4, and got an e-mail stating we should expect our federal refund sometime around 3/4.  The federal government did not start processing returns until 2/14.  You can check the status here:

Ours took about 2 weeks--we just got it today.

Weird, we were the opposite.

We submitted our taxes on 2/4. Federal was deposited in our account 2/9 (less than a week later!) and we just got our MN return on 2/18.

 

FYI. The fed government only delayed processing if you itemized, due to the new tax code that Congress voted in late.

Hmm, that is weird.  We itemized though, so maybe that's why...

Filed 2/16, recieved state refund on 2/18, and just received federal refund today (2/25).

Our federal was accepted on 2/15 and it was issued today, should be direct deposited in our account by early next week.

I should add, according to the payout schedule our accountant gave us it looked like all checks were cut and direct deposits were made on Fridays.
