Ari may make an early arrival...

I haven't posted much lately, but I figured I would share an update with you ladies.

I went to the OB today and I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead.  So I get to see little Ari again on an ultrasound in the next 2 weeks to check his weight.  Although I don't want him here too early, I am getting very uncomfortable.  So if my Nov baby becomes a Oct baby, I won't be too sad.  The dr. also mentioned that I may have gotten gestational diabetes really late, but I hope that's not the case.

Re: Ari may make an early arrival...

  • Yay for getting to see the baby again :) Good luck on everything working out healthy!
  • Wow, how exciting!

Hope you don't turn out to have GD!!!

  • Well, I will keep what I was measuring and when I finally went, to myself. Heehee! ;-)

I know it gets rough- and dealing with all these hot, humid days, isn't easy when you're feeling ready to blow! But, I'll cross my fingers for an easy couple of weeks, and a sooner than later (but, not TOO soon), birth! Can't wait to see pics of the little guy- and LOVE his name!

  • I hope he doesn't make you wait too long. That is exciting. Hope the GD comes back negative. It's nice to have an end in sight. Are you guys all ready?

Our little guy may be making an early arrival too. With my 12/1 EDD, I have always figured it would be a December baby...now it is lookin like he may be a November baby...eeks!

  • Good luck....let us know! :)
  • Thanks guys.  I too am praying for no GD.

DMC:  No we really aren't ready fully.  I have one shower tomorrow at work and usually the gifts are tons of gift cards.  So we are hoping to go finish up with the nursery this weekend.  But our real shower is not until the 26th so we are waiting until the last minute to get a lot of the stuff together.

  • Keep us posted!  I know you won't mind him coming a *little* early.  Let us know how your ultrasound goes.
  • I'm really excited for you!!! I love the name you picked out! Keep us updated!

    ps. love the ribbon!

  • How fun....It's overwhelming isn't it? I had my shower last weekend. After opening up everything I had a stress headache. Excitement mixed with a little bit of panic on top of everybodies generousity......It made everything surreal. We have a coed shower this weekend so i'll prepare myself for that same feeling again.

I am stilled amazed at how much stuff babies need!

  • I sure hope that everything goes well for you!!

We're waiting until the last minute to get things done too.  I still have 8 weeks until the due date, but it's coming up quick now.

I will have a small shower 1 month before the due date, so I'm sure we'll be doing a lot of shopping afterwards to buy the things we need that we don't happen to get at the shower.

We start the birthing classes tonight, and we still need to go on a tour of the L&D area at the hospital and pick a peds doctor!!

  • Yea it is a lot to do.  I finally feel like we are actually getting things done to get ready for him to come.  We picked our pedi, secured a spot at a daycare, completed our classes, and we're getting the mattress and doing some more shopping tomorrow.  We have 1 more class to go to, but I just signed up for a bunch of stuff to fill the time so I would have something to do and not to get too anxious.  We still need tons of stuff, but our main shower isn't until the 26th so we are trying not to go shopping for too much until after then.  I hate waiting so late, but I figured I should.  It may save us some money.
