Vow Renewal - gift or not?

H and I are attending a vow renewal for his cousin in a couple of weeks. I'm unsure what the etiquette is for bringing a gift, and curious if any of you ladies know.

Some details: This will be their 10th anniversary, and the invitation says there will be food, drinks, and music - and also that this will be "the reception they never had". Not sure if this matters or not, but the whole shindig will be taking place at the restaurant that they own.

 Thoughts?

Re: Vow Renewal - gift or not?

  • Maybe just a nice bottle of wine or champagne?
  • Are they registered somewhere?  I'd be tempted to get something REALLY first wedding...kitchen utensils, dish towels, recipie cards....
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • Hmm, I will have to ask my MIL if she knows of any registry... I honestly didn't even think of that.

I was thinking wine would work, too. Thanks to both of you!
