Car Accident :(

Driving home from visiting the barn tonight, we somehow hit a very icy place in the road.  The truck rammed into the meridian face-forward first and then slammed backwards into it, before sliding down a long hill into a little creek.  Ow.  My poor mom was driving and there was just nothing she could do.  She has never been in an accident before!  Neither have I, and I hope never again.  For a moment, I thought I was going through the windshield.  Then, I thought we were going to roll over on the passenger side.  God was seriously watching over us tonight.  We aren't seriously hurt, and while we were waiting, 3 other accidents happened in the same spot.  One truck slammed the meridian, then bounced off the ambulance- the only thing that kept him out of the ditch, too.

If you girls could keep your thoughts and prayers with my mom, I would really appreciate it.  She feels absolutley terrible about the whole thing.  I think the truck will be totaled.  The insurance only covers it if an accident is caused by another person hitting it.  My dad is not an easy person to live with, and I know he's going to make her feel guilty.  Please keep her in mind.

OMG, that's so scary!  Sending hugs your way.  Accidents happen. Hopefully your dad can put yourself in her shoes.  T&P, for sure.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers.  My mom and I are both pretty sore today, but we are still here!!  I saw her at church this morning and she said, we didn't end up in intensive care, she's just glad we made it.  So far, my dad hasn't been too bad.  I guess he's looking at truck ads. I think he's relieved that we're okay, but he has a hard time showing those kinds of emotions.  So, yea... I guess now we just try to move on.

Thanks girls!  I am actually feeling quite a bit better today.  I think I'm going to feel weird the next time we drive out there, though.  I won't be able to not think about/imagine it again   That part is going to stink.
