**Married In Cali**

I just responded to your Happy Friday post..But I will restate that I will be in Temecula at the end of March at a horseshow...I will be there all weekend and MH will probably come down for a night or two....any suggestions on good places to go wine tasting?

  • Ooh fun! :)

I just went to Ponte for the first time and really liked it- plus good food! I like Wilson Creek a lot- it is probably my favorite. South Coast is also a good one.  I didn't really like Callaway wineries. There are so many in a short amount of area, you could just hop from winery to winery or grab a tour that will drive you from winery to winery too.

Let me know if you have any more questions- hope this helped! :)

  • Hey there just thought I would butt in Smile

I ditto lena's choices. I also like Maurice Carrie especially for their bread wrapped brie. And falkner is really nice as well.

And I totally agree with not needing to go to callaway.

Make sure you check out the website http://www.temeculawines.org/

They always have some sort of coupons

oh I TOTALLY forgot about Maurice Carrie- I <3 their bread wrapped brie (and always take one home!) - Hey Kat- do they have a pineapple champagne? That is sticking in my brain for some reason.

  • I'm not sure if you've gone to Temecula or not yet since you said the end of March, but I will agree Wilson Creek is one of my faves (Can I get a class of almond champagne please?!) and another one of my faves is Bella Vista.  They aren't like any of the "fancy" wineries but they are the FIRST Temecula winery and it's owned by a Hungarian family... they have so many fantastic wines and the people are just so friendly, we became members there because we enjoy their wine and the times we always have there!

Good to know! I don't think I've been to Bella Vista- time to add another one to my list! :)
