For all the kind words on FB.  My dad had been going steadily downhill all week, and I'm glad he is finally at peace.  I got a lot of grief from some family and from my mom's friends today for not dropping everything and rushing up there.  I'm going up tomorrow to help my mom out, but have to be at work again on Tuesday.  Hopefully the memorial service will be this weekend, so my sister and I can both be there.

oh my gosh koko i am hardly ever on facebook anymore so this is the first i am hearing. i am so so very sorry. i can't imagine what you are going through. hugs to you and your mom and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear that koko. It is good that he is resting peacefully at this point. Try not to take the comments from other people to heart, you know you did the right thing for you. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I'm sure it's hard getting grief but you know you did all that you could do. Hopefully your mom is handling it OK at this point. Had it been an unexpected death, I can understand the comments but it was a slow decline and you did everything you could.  ::hugs:: I hope you and your sister are able to attend the services.
