Morning Everyone!

How was everyone's weekend?  I hope that you all had a great weekend and were able to relax; even just a little bit.  Wink

How are you doing today?  I was woken up by these crazy thunderstorms super early today and couldn't get back to sleep.  At one point I remember thinking that was a LOT of rain in such a short amount of time.  I'm well and realized this week is the week to get as much done on our house as absolutely possible.  We're trying to have the for sale sign in the yard next week.  Eeekk!

I hope you all have a great day!!

Re: Morning Everyone!

  • I rested.  I had a bone and soft tissue graft in the continuing journey of my busted teeth.  Awesome.  My face was so swollen it looked like I had been beaten with a bat, and Friday it started turning lovely shade of yellow/green.  It's awesome!
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • Oh Muffin's Mom - that sounds really uncomfortable.  I hope that they gave you good drugs!!  I have to admit, when you described your face color - this is what I thought of...  Ick!  lol.  Hopefully it wasn't that bad!

I had a nice weekend.  It snowed... again... here and I had enough of it.  DH and I went off to the place we got married and walked around the gardens for some flower therapy.  Much needed and a huge spirit lift.  Pic enclosed.

Sunday I made banana bread (seriously - check out the Cooks Illustrated ultimate banana bread recipe - it is sinfully good) and a batch of cookies and then spent the rest of the day curled up in bed reading a book.  DH and I watched the Oscars as well.  Truthfully, as much as I like James Franco and Anne Hathaway, I hope they don't host again.  It wasn't very good and I had such high hopes for them!

Edit - sorry about the big size of the photo and double copy.  Not sure why it is doing that.

  • Weekend was good. I'm "working" from home today so that's pretty cool.  Doing lots of laundry today.

  • I had a good weekend.  We got a bunch more snow, too, and while it got me out of work early on Friday, I'm getting really sick of it.  Is it spring yet?

There was a small fiber festival (think wool, not whole grains) in Freeport this weekend, so I went, met some knitters, petted a lot of yarn, and bought some really beautiful pink yarn.  That will make a nice sweater.

Then yesterday we had a nice dinner with my parents.  They switched firms recently, so they've been very busy and stressed out.  I was happy to spend some relaxed time with them at dinner and then in our pjs watching the Oscars (I agree--this year's show was a little dull).

  • The weekend was kind of boring.  I started and finished a new book (The Marriage Bureau for Rich People) which was good, and I studied a lot.  Also, the big IU Foundation campaign I volunteer for is starting, so I was pricing things out for that this weekend.

Supposedly the tornado sirens were going off late last night/early this morning, but I don't remember hearing any.  I had a text from my school ~2:30am saying we were in a warning--I saw it at 7 o'clock this morning.

Finally, I'm super tired.  I woke up and came in early this morning for a breakfast and meeting, I have a test tonight, homework due tonight and tomorrow, and a test on Thursday.  When will I ever get sleep?!

  • I had a pretty good weekend. It always goes by so fast...

Last night's thunderstorms were pretty crazy. When I got to work this morning, the entrance I usually use was completely flooded along with the first 3 rows of parking spaces. I didn't realize how much it actually rained til I saw that!

  • We had a great weekend. My baby turned 2 on Sunday so we had a small family party for him.

Today is been an okay day. Got to take him to the dr and he is getting 2 shots. Not really looking forward to that.

  • Weekend was pretty good- went to a cycling club event where the food was better than expected. My ride was rained out (again) and I'm trying not to panic.

I'm about to go have my IUD removed before work. It's been a long 2 years, and I'm glad to see it go. DH is getting a vas, so a few months back on the pill and we're golden.

    Happy Monday Everyone!

  • Good morning/afternoon everyone!

The weekend was good- relaxing, and way too fast as always.

Friday and Saturday we just lounged, did a bit of work around the house, and I went grocery shopping and prepped some meals for the week.

Sunday we had a surprise gorgeous day, and were actually able to get some things done outside as well. I did watch the Oscars while DH did homework, and I totally agree about the show! I thought James Franco and Anne Hathaway had potential as hosts, but it was just kind of blah.

  • Hola! Not bad here (other than the previously-posted family drama across the country). DH and I did some puppy hunting and keep getting rejected because we both have full time jobs (wha??). But we found one that's 6 months old and we visit him on Saturday! Plese cross your fingers that we get to bring him home!

What??  Probably the vast majority of pet owners are full time employed.  Thats crazy.

I know, right?! It's hopefully just with small puppies though because they think you can't spend enough time with them (even though we have a neighbor volunteering to help while we're at work AND we found a local dog-walker to fill in). We were really disappointed, but what can ya do?

I think it's a Bay Area thing... I know a lot of people who have had the same problem.  Don't give up though... you'll find a place that will allow it.

  • My weekend is Sunday/Monday.  Sunday after church was two long meetings which ended up being exhausting for some reason.  Then we had a couple friends over as soon as I got home and stayed up SO LATE.  Yesterday was errands and cleaning and I went to bed and could not relax because of the go-go-go! nature of the last few days.  I am really tired today and really want to go home and go to bed... not a good way to start my work week.
  • Today is my Monday because I took yesterday off of work because my parents were in town.

Friday/Sat was pretty chill, just time with my parents, DH, and little man. We went to my dad's fave cuban restaurant (there are no cuban places in Vermont, shockingly) and Liam was pretty good (except when he fussed like crazy, wouldn't take a bottle, and I had to nurse him in the restaurant.)

Sunday night my mom and I went to see Bon Jovi for her 50th b-day. It was really fun, except I haven't been to arena concert since college (DH and I prefer smaller venues) so it was weird to be so far away from the action!
