s/o twitter: Do you tweet?

I kind of skipped over Twitter and went right to FB, and I really don't want to learn yet another thing and another site to check daily. So I resisted. But last night there were some really hilarious celebrity tweets and it's making me rethink my resolve.

What say you?

Re: s/o twitter: Do you tweet?

  • I don't tweet. Between FB and TN it's just too much to keep up with.

  • I use twitter for my job now. I have to say, it's growing on me! Sometimes I even think the people on twitter are more intelligent than the people on facebook. I would probably join personally if more of my friends were on it.
  • I do - my name is KristinM1027 there - I check it on my phone mostly using TweetDeck.

  • I made an account a few years ago, but never signed in after that.
  • I think they're completely different from one another. On twitter, I mostly follow celebrities, news, magazines, bloggers and restaurants. It's way different from reading friends' status updates about boring and senseless crap.

I'm @veggieash if you ever do get into it!

  • I'm not interested in getting into it.

  • I've thought about hooking a twitter account up to my blog, but I don't think I'm that invested yet, or a consistent enough blogger for that matter.

  • I have a twitter account for the sole purpose of tweeting for extra entries in giveaways.

I feel like I'm connected with people more than enough via FB.

  • I do. Im not great at it though. Jackie_Eats
  • I was into Twitter for a little while bit rarely check it now. Like Ashlee, I mostly follow celebs- it's good entertainment. I'm @jodippls if anyone want to add me.

  • I'm a Twitter hoar. If you want my Twitter handle, PM me or look on my blog.

Twitter actually came after FB. I first heard of it in 2008 when I started at the ad agency in Melbourne. My boss made it a competition between us to see who could get more followers & I won. It really pissed him off.

  • I do not understand twitter.  I do finally understand hashtags and enjoy using them on the nest though!
  • Officially, yes, for my business. And I think either my blog or my facebook is linked up so when I  update, it updates my twitter... I think it's the facebook.... idk..  but I don't ever go to the twitter website and I have no idea if anyone is "following" me... and i don't think I will any time soon/ever.

  • It's too fast paced for me to keep up with.  FB and The Nest are good for me.

  • Total unsolicited PR/Social Media advice for those who don't "get" Twitter (mostly business related):

For business, Twitter is great for engaging potential customers. Make friends with people! Follow people. Respond to their tweets. Follow other photographers. Follow the Knot. Follow Bride Blogs or whatever your niche is. I think both Kylene & Tab McCausland use Twitter really well for their businesses because they also use it as a personal account. Any potential customer can see each lady's personality via her Twitter page.

Most Twitter-savvy people will unfollow/ignore accounts that just post a link to their site over and over again.
