So - question about Canadian healthcare.

Everyone has coverage, right ? So do you have medical cards ?

What if a visitor comes from another country ( like me ) and something happens, would the hospitals accept my private insurance ?

Also, what do you think about Baby Joseph ?

So - question about Canadian healthcare.

Everyone has coverage, right ? YES, if you go to emergency you will get covered.  It's basic medical.  Prescriptions, dental care, and other such things are covered by Extended Health.  Large employers generally have an extended health plan.  My OBGYN appointment was covered under basic health care as I think is all the blood work.  The prescriptions won't be.  DH's employer pays for his extended health but it is a taxable benefit. So do you have medical cards ? Yes, in BC we call it a Care Card.  DH and I also have an Pacific Blue Cross card which is the company that provides the extended health.  There is also one or two other company's that provide extended health.

What if a visitor comes from another country ( like me ) and something happens, would the hospitals accept my private insurance ?  To be honest, I'm not sure.

Also, what do you think about Baby Joseph ?  I think it's totally cool.  That's a random question though.
