Anyone use it? I have progressive and by switching i can save 20 a month... but I'd like to know how Geico is in accident situations. Any feedback would be great!
Re: Geico
I have & like them. No real problems, my only complaint was that my car was hit at the outlets less than a month after I switched and they wouldn't cover it with the uninsured/under insured part of my policy b/c I didn't file a police report so they thought I was trying to get free work done. I didn't KNOW i was hit until the next day when DH asked what happened to the passenger side of my car. I was peeved b/c I had just had my car inspected for another insurance agency (literally the day before I was hit) so I had proof that it wasn't existing damage. I mean, I understand where they were coming from, but I was annoyed.

Our baby girl was born on April 27, 2011!
We've had them for years and LOVE them. Actually afraid to switch they've been so great.
We had a broken window claim - smashed in the parking lot while at birth class, classic - no problems, glass coverage means no deductible, done.
And even better- I got into a car accident in rental car in Texas. I had nightmares worrying about how insurance was going to go - NOT A PROBLEM. Seriously, like 2 phone calls to get them information, verify injuries, and that was IT. They were AMAZING.
I could save like $30/month if I switch to esurance, which a friend recommended, but I'm too scared to leave Geico!

We had Geico for a while and their prices seemed fine, but frankly I never took the time to shop around. We never had any accidents while on them (3+ years), so I don't have personal experience w/how they pay out, but I do work in the legal field, and they do have a reputation for paying out a lot easier than allstate or statefarm.
That said, I very highly recommend you check Amica rates. I kid you not, they were HALF the price we were paying at Geico. And, Murphy's Law, the day I switched, I was rear ended. The other driver had Amica too. Amica was very responsive.
