How to get your website to show up on google search?
I have a website for my business, however when I do a google search the website does not show up. It does show up in a yellow pages search, since we're in the yellow pages....but not google.
I intend to talk to some marketing people about this, but was wondering if anyone knows how to do this. Is it something that I can do or do I need to go through a third party?? Thanks!
Re: How to get your website to show up on google search?
google for 'search engine optimization'
...oh, the irony
Hehe.
It also depends on how your site is constructed. If lots of the text is "live," it should be being indexed by Google. If it's buried in images, the search engine can't read it (a lot of noobs make the mistake of having every page of their site be one big image - no chance of finding you then!). And Flash sites are indexed by search engines, but they're done so differently than HTML/CSS-based sites, so there's no content hierarchy in the results.
