Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

New here, too!

Hi!! My envy of my friends who rave about their online friendships and communities has gotten the best of me, and I'm jumping in. I'm curious - what value have you all found in being active on the boards? Is it worth your time?

I'm a 20-something (okay, fine, a month away from 30) professional in an Indy suburb, living with my boyfriend of 5+ years. We're in the process of building a home and tossing around plans to elope.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Re: New here, too!

  • I just got married in December and we attended a Tobit retreat.  I'm not sure if you know about it, but it is a pre-marital retreat that lasts two days.  It is a way for couples to get to know each other before tying the knot.  Even though my husband and I did not have a Catholic wedding, we wanted to go to the retreat after we got married.  (The class was full before our wedding date.)  It was really helpful in getting our married life off to a great start.  I would recommend it to anyone.

The retreat was held at Fatima retreat house off of 56th Street, next to Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.

Do you have more information about this retreat?  It sounds interesting!
