Did I miss the final decision for when the book club meeting is going to be?

You didn't because I got about 2 replies from people who were interested and planned on reading the book.

SO.

Next sunday (the 13th) I'll be at Red Rock coffee in Mtn View (on Castro) on the second floor at about 2pm.

If, of course, no one says they're coming, I'm not going.

I wasn't able to get February's book in time from the library, but I have March's on reserve and should be able to participate in the April meeting (depending on the day). I'm really excited for Squirrel Meets Chipmunk!

Thaks for organizing Emmie! I hope people are able to attend this month, and even more participate next month!

I also found out that the paperback is due out Mar 15. So I wasn't going to get the hardcover and they didn't have it anyway. So could we push it back a little?

April: The Ghost Writer by Robert Harris (the movie is based on this book, so we could do a compare/contrast)

May: She's Gone Country by Jane Porter

June: Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell (out March 22)

July: Smoking Seventeen - the newest Stephanie Plum - out June 21

Aug: One of Our Thursdays is Missing - Jasper Fforde (a Thursday Next novel, out March 2)

Sept: The Poisoner's Handbook

Oct: An Offering of Leaves: Ruth Lauer-Manenti

Nov & Dec:  we'll take off due to the holidays. This can be revisited later.

I feel like (given my schedule) if we push it back, we'll be talking about both books at the April meet up. Which feels weird. So we'll keep it for Sunday and then do the Sedaris book the 1st or 2nd weekend of April (I don't have a calendar in front of me) at the same place - Red Rock Coffee, Downtown Mtn View.

If we push it back a week would that work for people? There are birthday happenings popping up all over the place. So if you guys don't mind having discussions while my son eats muffins and colors and climbs all over me, I'm happy moving it so more people can come!

So that would be Sun Mar 20, right? 2.5 weeks from now. That works for me!
