we used them today and we have a new groomer. Coop was looking bad, his nails were long and (imo, which I think is the one that matters in this situation) he smelled. We typically keep him shaved down b/c it helps with his allergies in the spring & fall, and he just looks better, but with N coming along and all the dr appointments, his grooming got pushed to the back burner. We bathe him regularly, but he still had long fur & nails.
Fur kids came out today and he was done in about 40 minutes. He looks good, smells good, his nails were ground and not just trimmed, ears cleaned & teeth brushed. it's just awesome that our dog looks good again and it didn't take all day to happen. Oh and we used their shampoo (we're nearly out) and he hasn't had a reaction like he does to the one at petsmart
It cost us $65 for them to come to the house, park in the driveway, groom him and be gone in less than an hour. We were bringing him to petsmart where it cost at least that and not as much was done and what was done was sloppy. The last time he went to petsmart, they used the wrong shampoo (we supply our own to them b/c of his allergies), forgot to do his ears, clipped his nails (I paid for grinding), and missed half his body when shaving him and it cost $72 - plus I had to drive him there, find something to do to kill a few hours, drive back to get him.
I'm really glad we decided to try a mobile groomer. DH & I looked at each other after they left and both said it was completely worth the money.
