Do you ever wish that you could anonymously like something on FB? I saw something hilarious, but if I "like" it, it would be super mean, so I can't. But in my mind I totally do.

I thought about it, but this one is just too mean.
A girl changed her relationship status, and the guy commented, shooting her down. Ouch.

A friend of mine recently went from 'in a relationship' to 'it's complicated' and I wanted to like it because I despise his girlfriend. I refrained because he's a nice guy and I want him to be happy. Jeff's aunt is always posting woe-is-me shiit that I want to like because she's obnoxious and crazy - I didn't want to add her as a friend but she created a HUGE stink about it, because she acts like she is 12. So obviously it wouldn't be smart to passive-aggressively like things on her wall, as tempting as it is. I think about deleting my FB account just because of all of the family that has infiltrated - you can't say no, you can't delete/block them...
This. 1000 times!
But then those of us who never had the chance to go to college wouldn't be able to catch up with some friends :-/
Aspersia - true. But TBH, if they hadn't opened up FB beyond college students, it never would have become what it is today - I don't think you would be 'missing out', really. Before FB exploded, I had maybe one or two friends from the past connect with me, and people didn't use it nearly as much...it was just so different. Most people didn't post a ton of pictures, and the format was VERY different, so for the longest time I didn't really get anything out of having FB friends. If that makes sense. FB would have stayed small and insignificant. I probably wouldn't have made an account after it got huge if I didn't already have one.
Wow, that sucks! Very harsh.
Why oh why do people post stuff like this on fb in the first place? Maybe I'm just weird & don't get it, but...shouldn't some things stay private? or at least confined to a small group?
This, totally. My friends and I are probably even more paranoid than most (crazy lawyers), but none of us post much at all, and what we do post is totally innocuous. No drama llamas!
